WHO WE ARE
The
London Branch pursues project financings across all
infrastructure sectors, but has a particular focus on Private
Finance Initiative (PFI) and Public Private Partnership (PPP)
schemes.
The Project Finance team of Dexia Public
Finance Bank, currently consisting of a dozen members, was
established in 1996.
The team is leading the Group’s
pursuit of social infrastructure PPP schemes internationally
covering sectors including healthcare, education, custodial
services and government
offices.

WHAT WE OFFER
Our core
product is arranging and underwriting senior debt. Our terms
are competitive and our deliverability is recognised by the
public sector as we are capable of lending for long-term
periods.
In addition we offer equity in the role of
financial investor when this is accompanied by a senior debt
arranging mandate. We are in a strong position to provide the
best terms for a full range of derivative / hedging products
to supplement our debt arranging.
Should a potential
transaction involve a bond wrapping then we have the
capability to team up with our wholly-owned monoline
subsidiary, FSA.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TRACK RECORD
We have an extensive appetite for arranging and
underwriting debt across most sectors of PFI and PPP, and our
successful track record is demonstrated by a wide variety of
existing projects.
We have funded accommodation
schemes, including hospitals, schools, prisons and Government
buildings; transportation projects, including light rail, DBFO
roads, and London Underground infrastructure; and integrated
waste facilities.
We are currently mandated by
preferred bidders to arrange the senior debt for a number of
PFI schemes in the health and education sectors and have an
extensive portfolio of projects where we are supporting
bidders in a variety of sectors. Recent successes have
included the arranging of a transaction to finance a new
mental health unit, two street lighting projects and one of
the first Diagnostic Treatment Centres in the UK.
Despite the focus on these types of transaction, we
remain active in the more traditional project finance
transactions and participate in a number of deals within the
power
sector.
